The Board of Directors is composed of the following members :

  • BOUTIN, Jean-Rock, Chair
    • Jean-Rock Boutin holds a master’s Degree in social work from Laval University. He has more than thirty-five years of experience as Bilingual Social Worker in Ontario and Quebec. He has been involved since 1992 in the Health, Social and Community sectors with Francophone minority communities, for the most part, and with marginalized populations such as Seniors, Immigrants and Refugees, LGBTQ2+ and individuals living with HIV/AIDS. He is presently the Chair of the Board of the Fédération des ainés et retraités francophones de l’Ontario (Federation of Francophones Seniors and retirees of Ontario). Jean-Rock has also been involved in many volunteer positions with Local, Regional, Provincial and National Francophone, Anglophone and bilingual health, social and community organizations. Mister Boutin is among the founders of FrancoQueer and Action positive VIH/SIDA, an AIDS Service organization in Toronto. He lives in Hamilton since 2017.
  • McLAUGHLIN, Pierre, Vice-Chair
  • MONTREUIL, Diane, Treasurer
    • In 2019, Diane was appointed by the TCDSB (Toronto Catholic District School-Board) as a Knowledge Keeper/Elder-in-Residence and a member of the Indigenous Advisory Board where she has been working with different schools since 2018, speaking about Indigenous culture and giving art classes. Currently, Diane also works in collaboration with other school boards, including the Waldorf Academy, the TDSB (Toronto District School Board) and the Viamonde School Board. From 2017 until now, Diane’s works have been selected and presented in various exhibitions in Toronto. Diane’s paintings are exhibited in galleries in Ontario and her work has been shown in Canada, the United States and Europe.

  • BERRY, Georgelie
    • Georgelie has several years of experience in sales, promotion and customer service. She is a settlement worker at FrancoQueer and held the same position at the Catholic school board MonAvenir. She was previously involved as a volunteer on the board of directors of FrancoQueer as well as in the Positive Spaces initiative of OCASI. She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the Institute of Higher Commercial and Economic Studies of Haiti. She more recently obtained an attestation in Management and Leadership from Collège Boréal.
